Beñue people don't like doing these things

Things that Beñue people rarely                           do.

Beñue State AKA the FOOD BASKET STATE is one of the well endowed state in the North Central Geopolitical region of Nigeria.

The multicultural population of the state is hard working, intelligent and religious to a halt.

But their are somethings the average Beñue person may not readily do extemporaneously. Here are some of such

Giving to charity. Beñue lacks philanthropists. If you are looking for alms, financial assistance, or people that can provide for you out of love, you will be disappointed. In this clime, people just like to take but don't give back. The only place the people give to is probably worship centers.

Sponsorship. Benuelists hate to sponsor talented people to get breakthrough. Many skillful and talented youths are still hidden in the mud simply because there is nobody to sponsor them.

Even students' scholarship allowances have been non existent long time ago.

This lack of sponsorship has retarded the growth of the state.

Cleaning their streets. Most streets in Beñue are left unkempt. Some streets have been turned into farm lands or refuse dumps.
A close look will reveal that residents don't even clean their frontage, not to mention the streets. Everyone waits for the government to clean their rooms, frontage and streets. So sad.

Paying workers salary. For many administrations, successive governments don't like to pay workers salaries up to date. This malady has left months of salary arrears, which makes the worker to wallow in abject poverty.
Although the incumbent Governor is changing the status quo, hitherto, that was the trend.

Distributing wealth. Beñue people love hoarding money and other forms of wealth. The few people that venture into investments are not interested in showing others the way out. This has been such a bad culture over the years.

Processing farm products. Farm produce abound in Beñue: tubers, fruits, seeds, vegetables, name them. Yet, these crops are left to waste yearly, thereby diminishing the agro value chain.
People labor to produce and watch their products perish, simply because of lack of processing culture.

Government intervention is visibly absent in this and many other areas.

Creating websites. Most  small scale businesses and other forms of businesses including government agencies are absent on the internet. They are either ignorant or sceptical of exploring the internet in order to showcase their products, services and activities

The internet is lacking the presence of Beñue businesses because: These people are stock to the traditional ways of doing things.

In conclusion, Beñue people need to change their orientation and attitudes and step up their game in improving social welfare and lifestyles. We all need one another and a shoulder to lean on. Nobody will successfully bear their problems alone.

Let love prevail in Beñue.
