See what Nigerian Anthem says

Image
Nigerian National Anthem Lyrics Arise, O Compatriots, Nigeria's call obey To serve our Fatherland With love and strength and faith. The labour of our heroes past Shall never be in vain, To serve with heart and might One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity. O God of creation, Direct our noble cause; Guide our Leaders right: Help our Youth the truth to know, In love and honesty to grow, And living just and true, Great lofty heights attain, To build a nation where peace and justice reign. The question is: are we keeping to what we sing in the anthem?

Making Benue Great during Alia's reign.

As we celebrate His Excellency Alia Hyacinth as the Governor of Beñue State, let us also remember to support him to excel in governance. Let Beñue people create profitable ideas that will add value to the state. Our attitude to life and work should be positive and proactive . Beñue people should eschew selfishness and corrupt tendencies. Then, Beñue will live again. King Jessevich

Unethical acts Information Officers should avoid.

Image
For Information Officers whose duties are handling and managing government affairs both in the media and society, avoid these unethical practices: 1. Revealing information that is not permitted. Do not disclose government information that are classified, except you are permitted  2. Not keeping record of activities in your place of assignments is very wrong. You should keep every record for reference purpose. 3. Playing truancy is a very wrong practice. IOs should always be at their duty beat within working hours. 4. Being ignorant of government and societal trends. IOs should be abreast of their society and beyond. 5. Spreading rumors. IOs should verify and be sure of any piece of news before circulation, considering that they are custodians of information 6. Not relating to events. Information Officers should not be nonchalant to what goes on in their milieus  King Jessevich.

5 things that will make Beñue great.

Image
Since 1976, when Beñue State was created, the state has lagged when it comes to good governance and  wellbeing of her people. Here are 10 things that will turn the state around: 1. The position of governor should rotate among the three senatorial zones. Ie A,B,C. 2. The people should renew their minds and renounce greed, wickedness and corruption. 3. Beñue people must be kind, sensitive and honest to one another. Benuelists should be shown or discover wealth creation. 4. The people should reconcile their grievances. 5. Govt should declare free education for all Beñue people the way it is done in South West . Let's try these factors and see how the Benue Valley will thrive in prosperity. Jessevich.

Keep it going, don't stop

Learn to fly. But if you can't fly. Be running. If you can't run, keep walking. At worst, keep crawling. By any means positive, keep moving towards your goals. You are strong, so, don't stagnate.

why marriages suffer these days

Image
According to Krystle Crossman of Healthy Black Woman, marriages do not end quickly and for no reason. A divorce is a culmination of months of frustration, fighting, and lack of communication. Crossman says that usually after a marriage is over however there is almost always one point in time that will stand out in your mind when you really could see how your partner was feeling and that the marriage was on its way out. She then lists 11 different reasons men leave their marriages: 1. No more trust – One man described his adventures where he would take photos with timestamps of all of the signs that lead back to his house to prove that he was where he said he was. He got fed up after having to do this and left. 2. Self-centered – It was a cold and dark winter night and one man who had missed the train home from work had to take a very long bus ride and then walk several miles home in the snow and freezing wind. This was all because his wife didn’t want to leave her yoga clas...

See why you should never hate people

THE INTERVIEWEE WHO HATED ME 6 years ago a guy looked at me face to face, and boldly told me;  “I don't like you!” I immediately fired a response, I asked him that day;  “Thank you for the honest feedback, but those that you like, how has it made their life better? How does your liking people pay their bills or take a bank loan? My brother keep your like, I need God's like And that's what guarantees my future.” Today I joined a CEO friend of mine in an interview Panel to recruit some new staff, it was a long session, as we returned from a coffee break to continue the hectic interview session, here was this same guy walked in with his grey jacket and CV coming for the interview. Our eyes kissed by fluke, we immediately recognised each other;  "the world is indeed spherical”, I soliloquized. He felt very uncomfortable through out the interview, one could clearly see the volcanic eruption ongoing in his whole nervous system, he even mistook his date of birth for his last ...

love gone cold

Love or hate.  Is it not rather strange that a man admires a lady gets the chance to begin a date with the lady. The date transforms into a courtship, then marriage plans are made, then comes the marriage itself (all aimed at creating a romantic and cordial relationship). At some point in time, the romance - the hugs, kisses, copulation etc turn into malice, quarrels, fighting, separation, divorce or even killing.  What is that thing that goes wrong?what is that thing that is done? what is that thing that is not done that turns a couple who were once friends and lovers into belligerent foes?  What exactly do men and women want?  What do humans want? Why has love turned cold for many people? I keep asking. Jessevich.
